The person who tweeted the above text has been pressurized into deleting. I’ve had people asking me why I RTed it in the first place and that I should ask the girl who tweeted it to take back her words. As you can guess, I refused. Featured below are my biggest fans, probably the presidents of my fan club. Only tweets with the most amount of love have been put up here. There were several others. I would’ve blocked them but it got highly amusing at one point. So I think I should share the love with you, Banana People:

I think you are misidentifying the culprit when you say religion is the worst invention of humans and the cause of women being burned alive. This may have been done in the name of religion in many places and eras, but what really burned those women was patriarchy, misogyny, the fear and hate of the feminine half of all humankind. Not religion. We will have a much easier time understanding the past and eliminating the things that are causing us trouble if we name them correctly. Religion does not have to lead to the death of women and to war, but patriarchy most assuredly does.
